- Prefer to drive? Madison is within a day’s drive of several major Midwestern cities, including Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Chicago, Des Moines, Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Detroit. - Leaning toward a bus? Metro Transit, Madison’s public bus transportation, operates a variety of routes, and there are two Greyhound bus stations located throughout the city.
