CETA/ACTE celebrates excellence in the field through several distinguished awards and recognition programs.

 

Student Scholarships

CETA/ACTE supports the future of the industry through its student scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to students pursuing studies relevant to embryo transfer to attend the AETA & CETA/ACTE Joint Annual Convention, encouraging academic achievement and professional development within the field.

The scholarship includes

  • Student registration for the convention, including the Preconference Seminar, main program scientific sessions, and breakfasts, breaks, and lunches on days of scientific sessions
  • One ticket to the preconference social and one ticket to the banquet
  • Hotel accommodations for up to three (3) nights
  • Round-trip economy airfare
  • One complimentary CETA/ACTE student membership for one year
  • The opportunity to spend one day in the field observing embryo transfer alongside a CETA/ACTE member practitioner

Applicants must meet all of the following:

  1. Must be a Canadian veterinary student graduating in 2025 or 2026, or a graduate veterinary student, with an interest in large animal reproduction and a plan to include embryo transfer in their career path.
  2. Must agree to attend all convention events, including scientific sessions, the business meeting, banquet, breakfasts, luncheons, breaks, and the preconference social.
  3. Must agree to submit a written post-convention report within 30 days of the convention. The report should outline the objectives for attending, key takeaways, and how the knowledge gained will be applied in the industry and in their academic work. The report will also be shared in the CETA/ACTE communications, including the triannual newsletter.
  4. Must agree to present their post-convention report to the bovine/large animal club at their school.

New Practitioner Award

The CETA/ACTE Board of Directors is pleased to offer two (2) complimentary convention registrations to veterinary practitioners who are beginning to offer embryo transfer services in their practice as recipients of the New Practitioner Award.

We would appreciate your help in distributing the application form to your colleagues. Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must be a Canadian veterinarian beginning to offer full embryo transfer services in their practice (flushing experience of two years or less).
  2. Previous attendance at an embryo transfer workshop is considered an asset.
  3. Must agree to attend all convention events, including scientific sessions, the business meeting, banquet, breakfast, luncheons, breaks, and the preconference social.

All applications received by June 30, 2026, will be reviewed, and up to two (2) qualifying practitioners will be awarded a complimentary registration to the 2026 AETA & CETA/ACTE Joint Annual Convention in Madison, Wisconsin, from September 24 to 26, 2026.

A complimentary convention registration will include

  • Preconference Seminar (September 24)
  • Scientific sessions (September 25 and 26)
  • Breakfasts, breaks, and lunches during scientific sessions (September 25 and 26)
  • One ticket for the preconference social (September 24)
  • One ticket for the banquet (September 25)
